Anglo-Romany and Jewish

Some years ago, a member of the Anglo-Romani community contacted me because his ancestry DNA report indicated he had substantial Jewish ancestry. His parents were from the Winter and Shaw family, and both were related to every major Anglo-Romani family in England(Boswell, Smith, Grey, Young, Heron, etc.)  I was happy to look into it because I have Anglo-Romani and Swiss Jenish ancestry, and we too show Jewish ancestry. 

The result was a study of a Anglo-Romani family and their Jewish connections. I wrote an article about what we found which you can find below. None of this would have been possible without the help of Reverend Dean Shaw and we are forever grateful. Not least of which, one of his DNA relatives is Lisardo Cano Montes, and doing this project put me in contact with Lisardo Cano, and everything that has followed since.
